The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has invited online applications to strengthen and improve elementary education in Assam. As per Govt. approval (eFile No. 532785 dated 28/10/2025), 10,673 LP & UP Teacher posts will be filled under the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) Amendment Rules 2025.
Only Contractual and State Pool Teachers under Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA) with minimum 3 years of continuous service are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria – DEE Assam LP & UP Teacher Recruitment 2025
1. Employment Condition
- Candidate must be working as:
- Contractual Teacher under SSA, or
- State Pool Teacher under SSA
- Must have completed minimum 3 years of continuous service as on 30 September 2025.
2. Academic & Professional Qualification
As per NCTE norms and existing Government rules.
3. Age Limit
- As per Government norms for teacher recruitment.
